Correct climate

Our passion for pianos includes not only sales but also maintenance and care of your instrument. We understand the importance of storing your piano in the right climate and how it affects the instrument’s performance and durability over time.

It is important to note that heating and ventilation systems can pose a threat to your grand pianos. In winter, when humidity drops drastically as heating rises, extreme drying can occur causing serious damage to the piano’s wooden parts, rims, soundboard, action mechanisms, keys and more. It is the relative humidity that determines how severe the drying becomes, and if too dry, the wood cracks and glue joints split.

To keep your instrument in good condition, climate-appropriate storage or a built-in humidity system, along with regular specialist care, is necessary. A humidity system helps maintain a constant relative humidity ideal for your piano, reducing the risk of drying and other damage. Our experts can help you find the best solution to protect your piano and extend its shelf life.

We also offer specialist care to ensure your piano is in the best possible condition. Our piano tuners and technicians have many years of experience and knowledge to make sure your instrument performs optimally and sounds its best. We also provide moving and transport services for your piano, so you can feel confident when relocating your valuable instrument.

A beautifully sounding instrument

With good service and piano tuning, you can extend the life of your piano or grand and make it sound even better. We can tune your piano so it can meet all technical and musical challenges while playing it. We also help repair any wear and tear to prevent deterioration of sound quality or key touch. Perhaps your grand piano is in a public setting like a concert or teaching hall? As mentioned before, we know what is required as piano tuners to ensure the instrument withstands even greater demands.

Regular servicing

We assist you whether you want to tune your home piano or service a large concert grand. With regular service once or twice a year, you keep your instrument in great condition.

For example, our technicians check and adjust the intonation so the instrument sounds clean and listen to the tonal range to avoid sounds that are too sharp or dull.

Perhaps the action mechanisms need adjustment due to wear. We gladly provide a cost estimate for possible measures — all to ensure your grand or piano lasts for a long time! We use professional piano tuning tools.

A grand piano should be dynamically uniform at all volume levels. Notes played with the same force should sound equally strong. The tone should be even from bass to treble. Sometimes certain notes stand out; they can sound metallic, sharp, or completely lack overtones. It is as important for a piano tuner to handle adjustment and intonation as it is to tune, so the instrument sounds beautiful. A grand piano should have a wide dynamic range — from pianissimo (very soft) to fortissimo (very loud).
